After years of listening to the BS Report podcast, I knew I had to read this book as soon as I could. And I wasn’t let down in the least! There is an unbelievable amount of information on the history of the NBA in this book, which includes a list of the finest players that spans more than 300 pages!
There are also entertaining parts such as “The What-if game,” He delves into hypothetical scenarios such as “What if Detroit chose Carmelo Anthony over Darko Milicic?” For example, consider the question “What if Len Bias hadn’t overdosed?” and another where he solves the debate “Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell?”
It might become a little boring at times since you will be inundated with player statistics and pop culture allusions from all over the world, which can be challenging to keep up with if you are younger or didn’t grow up in the United States of America. Overall, this is the ideal book for anybody interested in learning more about the history of the NBA and the sport of basketball in the United States in general!
