In 2017, the Major League Baseball emblem was replaced with a new design showing a ballplayer’s progression from the Little League to the major leagues. In 2018, they were worn with different colors and a “tribute patch” that recognized individuals who changed their lives. Some athletes have written inspirational inscriptions on their shirts, like ‘Thank You.’ Others credit their great professional baseball careers to their jerseys and write ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad.’
Some players changed their names with nicknames on the back of their shirts. Players were encouraged but not obliged to use nicknames. Percentage of Black players in MLB still low

The Seattle Mariners have more Black players than the entire Central Division of the American League and so many as NL West.

“There’s a lot of Black players on one squad, I believe you must go back to the Negro Ligues,” Kendrick remarked.
Andy McKay, the Player Development Director of Mariners, stated, ‘I haven’t got the answer you’re searching for, but we have a core group of Black guys that are such excellent baseball players. We strive to identify the finest players we can find.”
Now, with college coaches making a deliberate effort to provide pathways for amateur players whose parents don’t pay out thousands of dollars in a travel ball each year, there is a difference.
